Organ & Tissue Donation

There are currently more than 4500 people waiting for organ transplants in Canada. In 2012, there were 2124 organs transplanted, yet each year many people die before receiving an organ transplant.

Fortunately, you can do something to positively change those numbers simply by electing to become an organ and tissue donor. A single donor can save as many as 8 lives and improve the quality of life for up to 75 people. 

How to Become an Organ Donor

There's nothing difficult about becoming an organ and tissue donor. Each province has it's own organ and tissue donation registration process, but you can find out more about your province's registration process at the Canadian Blood Services website.
